Chimney and Fireplace Apprentice Technician
Start a skilled-trades career with paid, hands-on training, mentorship, and support for industry certifications. No chimney experience is required.
- Assist experienced technicians with inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Learn fire-prevention practices and safe use of tools and equipment.
- Build a clear path toward technician and lead technician work.
Chimney Service Technician, Junior Level
Run a service truck, complete chimney and fireplace work from start to finish, and keep developing toward senior technician.
- Perform chimney sweeping, inspections, repairs, and dryer-vent work.
- Document findings and explain safety recommendations to homeowners.
- Continue paid classroom and field development toward certifications.
Senior Chimney and Fireplace Service Technician
Lead complex diagnostics and repairs, mentor developing technicians, and improve the systems that keep our work safe and consistent.
- Own complex service work from diagnosis through completion.
- Train, coach, and sign off developing technicians.
- Support quality, purchasing, and operating-procedure improvements.
Inside Sales Representative
Turn incoming calls and open estimates into scheduled work, from the office, using the photos and findings our technicians bring back. No pressure tactics, ever.
- Answer incoming calls and web requests and book the right service.
- Follow up on estimates that have not been decided yet.
- Present EmberGuard membership plans to customers who want their chimney kept up.
Who we are looking for
- Hardworking and reliable, and you take pride in a job done right.
- Comfortable working outdoors, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
- Detail-oriented, because safety and precision matter in this work.
- A good communicator who works well alongside other people.
- A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Experience in construction, roofing, masonry, HVAC, or home services is a bonus, but it is not required. Our apprentice track was built for people starting from scratch.
How to apply
The application takes about fifteen minutes. It asks a few written questions and then two short videos of roughly thirty seconds each: one about the hardest thing you have ever accomplished, and one introducing yourself. Do it somewhere quiet, where you do not mind recording.
It will ask you to sign in with a Google account. That is only because the video uploads need it.
